Felipe VI
Life and reign
King of Spain since the abdication of Juan Carlos in June 2014. An Olympic sailor at Barcelona 1992, he has steered the monarchy through scandal and constitutional crises. His elder daughter Leonor is heir presumptive as Princess of Asturias, since Spain uses male preference primogeniture and the king has no son.
