Puyi
Life and reign
The last emperor, enthroned at two and forced to abdicate at six in February 1912 when the republic replaced the Qing. Restored for twelve days in 1917 and later puppet emperor of Manchukuo under Japan, he ended his life as a gardener and archivist in Beijing. His memoirs inspired the 1987 film The Last Emperor.
